Re: Looking for guidance
Hi Ana,
I guess a recent choice/decision is called for here. Could be something as simple as the choosing of coffee to tea...
What happens in direct experience? It is worth looking closely at this in any case for future inquiries should this become an issue. Did you ever really chose anything?

Re: Looking for guidance
Great! Almost there...
Now it was flagged up that in the final questions (see page 4) where it asks about choice etc where it says "Please give examples from recent experience"
You didn't actually give an example. Have you got any?
And
2) Is there any doubt that self is an illusion? (I think you ...

Re: Looking for guidance
Hi Anna,
Thanks for your patience.
1) Great. Same as seen here.
Just in case this needs further looking into, the answers to these questions is evident when looked for in actual sensate experience:
2) How would personality be described from direct experience? Find this personality. Where does it ...

Re: Looking for guidance
Hello Anna,
One of the guides has some more questions for you:
Where is this "I" located that gets out of the way for decisions to make themselves?
What exactly is it that can have a "big ego"?
What is it that will continue to live a 'day to day' life and be 'neighbourly'?
What can" meddle" or ...

Re: Looking for guidance
Lovely, I have no more questions and will check to see if any of the other guides have any further questions for you if not this is the end of our dialogue for now.
It has been a real pleasure and sorry if 'I' got you out in the freezing garden the other day!
Much love
M

Hehehehe
No, you haven't read the whole post, below the blank appears the question. I left a blank so that you wouldn't read the question before landing in the garden.

Re: Looking for guidance
Thanks Anna,
It's been a real pleasure reading this. Looking into wanting and not wanting (desire and aversion) is another possible further inquiry.
For our current purposes here though, here is a definition of 'intention' from a web dictionary

Re: Looking for guidance
Great! Really enjoyed reading this!
Here are some last questions. If there is a sticky place, we will be able to get you completely 'unstuck'.
There is no rush, write what feels true. Please number (and quote) the answers with the corresponding numbers. You don't need to answer them all at once ...

Re: Looking for guidance
Hello Anna,
Now back and on a computer so let's get real clear now.
When I read your response I smiled and then laughed. Waited 2 hours to see if something disturbing would come up, and no, right now I'm fine, seeing the world with humor.
That made a smile appear on this face too! I'm curious ...

Re: Looking for guidance
1) "That self does not exist"
Does any self exist? Did it ever?
2) right, for something to die it needs to exist in the first place. Are self thoughts really always present?!
3) great! No observer just observing, there is no doubt awareness
4) Fab! Is Anna anything more than an imagined character ...

Re: Looking for guidance
Hello Anna,
I'm still on retreat and so I'll get back to you properly in a few days.
1) "No, that would be suicide for the self"
Let's find this self for which it would be suicide if thinking disappeared.
Can the 'I, Me, Self'-thought die? How long is a thought and where does 'self-thought' go ...

Re: Looking for guidance
Hello Anna,
Great! Frustration is found to be thoughts, and perhaps there are sensations of contraction in the body too at times.
Let's look really closely at thoughts now. As always, report from what is actually found in real life experiencing rather than great theories about reality.
