Re: Well here it is Jimw!

Ok, to clarify:

The reason "I" am looking out at the sky at that time is because that's what life was doing at that time, due to prior events, randomness, etc. There's no self that chose to be there, and nothing put me there by any power or choice. I had to be, at that time, sat in my chair ...

Re: Well here it is Jimw!

Sure. I'm up for questions, even if to calibrate little tiny bits of this.
Thanks for your help, Jim. :)

Re: Well here it is Jimw!

1/
Me is a false idea stemming from the "obvious". The obvious being that everyone has one body, not 7 billion. The obvious being that "I'm the aggregate of my experiences and actions and holidays and crazy stories and that time I got drunk". This me is contained in the brain, and it guides what ...

Re: Well here it is Jimw!

"Thoughts are constantly "being correct" in relaxing any wrong thoughts."
What I mean by that is that if I think of something I know to be false, my brain seems to be correcting the falsity without any "effort", like it's automatic. A similar thing happened when I tried to cease ever lying again ...

Re: Well here it is Jimw!

Well I haven't felt like I've "popped", but I feel like I'm quite possibly through. I feel just amazing all the time; stress free, positive, no negative emotions about my past (guilt or shame or whatever) nor about things I'd just done wrong. Thoughts are constantly "being correct" in relaxing any ...

Re: Well here it is Jimw!

Well, I from 5 days ago until two days ago I was a bit overthinking and oversearching for this, I thought I'd take a day to relax from it, so I just went around and did my thing. Of course while doing whatever I did I noticed there was no I doing those things, choosing with what to entertain myself ...

Re: Well here it is Jimw!

I'm either there or right on the cusp, so thank you so much Jim!

"Why correct the thoughts ? Isn't that just switching one label to another ? LOOK - see the labelling machine of the mind in action."
This seems to be helping. Not only are thoughts arising without a thinking self, but they're ...

Re: Well here it is Jimw!

"This is it, I logically know it, and I know I'll know it forever (or until disproven ;) ) but I feel like self will ignore that unless corrected still." "What is it that needs correcting ?"
Meaning, I know it but I don't feel a shift has happened where it is known by default, only that self-based ...

Re: Well here it is Jimw!

I grasp the fact that there's just this moment and everything that arises in it, and so on until the end. This is it, I logically know it, and I know I'll know it forever (or until disproven ;) ) but I feel like self will ignore that unless corrected still. I seem to gather that once you see it you ...

Re: Well here it is Jimw!

I'm waiting for a noticeable movement to seeing no-self. It seems like I learnt it to be true, tested it and know it to be true (that there is no self) but I don't feel like it's registered as a change. It still feels "belief-y".

Of course there's no self right now as these words are typed. I feel ...

Re: Well here it is Jimw!

That question is hurting my head slightly!

It feels like something I'm waiting for, knowing that any moment should be able to show me no-self, but not finding it beyond grasping it intellectually at any moment. I'm "trying to pop", wondering if this chat will build momentum until I have to see it ...
