I did what you suggested and felt into the contraction and stayed with it. I could feel it turn into an erotic energy when I dropped the resistance and the story. It was intense! It actually felt good and freeing.

When I don't identify with them, sensations are still coming but there's a stillness too. And then very quickly thoughts are back and they want to explain the stillness or make something out of it or try to get it back.
