Hi,
Welcome to Liberation Unleashed. My name is Marcin and I'd be happy to assist you in your inquiry.
This is YOUR inquiry. I will not be giving you new ideas and beliefs; only assisting you in examining and questioning the ones that you already have. We can have a conversation and see where it ...

Re: Understanding
Hi Yev,
How are you doing?
While this is not a problem at all when you spend some longer time to work through the questions, it may become a problem if you stop working. It's somewhat similar to keeping a bonfire alight - you don't need to work on it all the time, but it's better to put some ...

Re: Understanding
Hi Yev,
Just as a sound doesn't exist until the vibrations in the air hit the eardrum, a perception needs a perceiver and vice-versa.
Look, that is a conceptual explanation. But what is needed here is what can be directly experienced.
Although I would more readily describe myself as the empty ...

Re: Understanding
Hi Yev,
my apologies for going AWOL for a bit
No problem with that, It's better to keep some intensity and some momentum in the investigation, but there is no need to reply hurriedly.
Ultimately, I'm just the watcher behind it all.
Is there an actual watcher separate from the experience ...

Re: Understanding
Hi Yev,
Your assertion that the "train of thought" is a thought is clearly right, but there does seem to be a natural progression of a thought stream. For example, if I imagine the word "food", it is more likely that the next thought that enters awareness will be what I want for dinner rather ...

Re: Understanding
Hi Yev,
Thank you for your answers.
I'm not sure what the angle is on this question, but I will say that to the degree of my conscious intention to manifest a thought, I can manifest it. Although ultimately it's the same trap the previous questions allude to, because in order for me to even want ...

Hi Yev,
They are separate. Thought generally follows a sense perception.
Let's take a closer look at thoughts, how they behave:
Here is a thought exercise. Sit quietly for about 30 minutes and notice the arising thoughts.
Just let them appear as they appear. Try your best to COMPLETELY ignore ...

Re: Understanding
Hi Yev,
As to how these labels get translated into meaning though is beyond me.
As to meaning - it should be sufficient for the purpose of our investigation here to treat meaning as a kind of sense, just like seeing. When you look at the sky, how does the blue color become visible? It just kind ...

Re: Understanding
Hi Yev,
Yes, this is a mental label. And these labels exist. They are visible here now, in plain sight, can you see them? Tell me please what you see.
All the best,
Marcin
"The cup" is a mental label.

Re: Understanding
Hi Yev!
What is there besides the 5 senses?
There's thinking and feeling. The former being comprised of self-generated 5 senses and the latter being a seemingly bodily experience.
If this is so, then when looking at a cup, how do you know it is a cup and not something else?
Best regards ...

Is there anything other than "objective perceptions"?...everything that I am aware of, including the 5 senses. It is the content or the perceiving in my experience. It is any and all objective perceptions.
What is there besides the 5 senses?
All the best,
Marcin

Hi Yev,
Thank you for your response. Let's put that question aside again for some time, and let's get back to your previous post. You wrote:

Hi Yev,
A few days ago you wrote the following about the sense of "existence itself":
I don't know if I can really say something about it. It's just a general sense of "I exist". I can't really point to how I perceive it, as it's not localized anywhere in my awareness. It's not in the body and ...

Re: Understanding
Hi Yev,
How are words interpreted? How is meaning/sense discovered?
All the best,
Marcin
How is the looking done? Who does the looking? There's no mind that I can find. When I look for it, all I find is silence.
How are words interpreted? How is meaning/sense discovered?
All the best,
Marcin
