Hello,
I realize there were quite many questions in my previous post. You don't have to answer all of them if they seem too much.
But have you had a look at those 2 points I mentioned? And do you wish to continue?

Mind does label experience, but is it needed to feel pain? Let's say a hammer drops on your foot. Does the sensation of pain need a mental label in order to be felt?

Hi,
This about seeing whether there actually is a "myself". In conventional language, we say that we talk about ourselves when we talk about the different sorts of stories that have been experienced ("personal matters"), for example:
I dont like very much what i have done with my life so far, and ...

Hello there,
We can talk a bit about the personal matters you described. But I would like to point out that it isn't the goal here, none of that have anything to do with awakening. And I'm happy to read that you've been learning psychology. :) It helps with unraveling those issues you described ...

Hi Ran,
The other clients had no further questions to ask.
This conversation has been a growing experience for me as well, so thanks to you also. :)

Re: unroll
Ok. Then let's start unrolling..
First I would like to point out if you can see how inconsistent the view of yourself you currently have is.
First you wrote that:
obviously I can not touch myself, it is just my ideas, values, ways of feelings, believing...
Then you wrote:
My arm is myself ...

Hi,
Great, but now who says, say seeing sees , and around and around we go, and where do we stop? No one knows.(That is actually a good place to stop, isn't it?
That is a good place to stop. It is as you wrote in a few sentences;
All thinking is mechanical, habituated

Re: How do you know what you don't know?
Hi Ran,
Looking good!
An intellectual answer only begs another question – what is dependent co-arising? Who/what moves a sankhara? Great place to go (a book) if you want to play the question and answer game, but I do not – hence how does a duck know his wife from all the other ducks?, …… if we ...

Hello there,
I mentioned the book because some have come to awakening by something they read on the book. Awakening is simply coming to realize that there is no self. The way this happens, differs for everyone. But it rarely happens without self-inquiry.

Re: How do you know what you don't know?
Basically, I undertook to imagine &/or visualize not being intelligent and not being of any gender. I stayed with these contemplations until I felt a falling. I started in a meditative posture, and I ended up asleep

Re: unroll
Ok, so you say those many attributes make up yourself. What is that self exactly? Is it tangible? Can it be sensed?Rightly, the self ...i assume the self to be what i have made of myself , my likes, dislikes, tendencies, traits, strenghts,..I think it is those many things together.
Re: unroll
Ok. We can start this from a totally blank slate. It might be more interesting that way. But I just want you to know that if you want, it's ok to read any material offered on this website during the inquiry. Many people for example tend to read the free e-book called "Gateless Gatecrashers", which ...
