Re: Looking for a guide

Have you noticed where thoughts come from and where do they go, in your experience?
Do you have any control over them?

Re: ready to face the unknown

Who is reading these letters now?
Who is talking with who now?

Re: Need guidance

Hi Raj, I believe habit has a mind of its own and plays itself. Regardless of all beliefs look into your actual experience how it happens. Simply notice. Is there anything that „you“ make for this to happen? In this very moment what an effort „I“ puts for this experience to be here? And it is same f...

Re: Ready to wake up from the dream of self

Can we agree that there is no you in direct experience? Just a thought about you and fear of leaving the idea of separate self? Can you have a deeper look at that fear. Without judgement that it shouldn't be there. Feel if there is tension in the body. And talk to your mind like with child and let h...

Re: No self inside?!

Is there "I" anywhere except in thoughts?
For what in your direct experience is needed "I" to happen?

Re: Looking for a guide

Seeing and hearing happen on their own. Its the thoughts that bring confusion because thoughts believe that they are happening to someone. Thoughts don't believe. Thoughts just innocently arise. But there is unconscious, like default setting of the mind to believe in thoughts. Yet, if it sees once ...

Re: Ready to wake up from the dream of self

Welcome back :) In direct experience, when focused on hearing or seeing, it seems that sensory experience takes all available space. How could someone hear or see? Thinking is different because it seems sometimes to be active. Though I've clearly seen several time that I couldn’t possibly be my thou...

Re: Looking for a guide

Ok. Notice is there any time when you make anything for seeing or hearing to happen? Or for thinking?
Do you make anything for the arising of thought „me“?

Re: Looking for a guide

Hi Hale,
maybe it is time now to answer my questions from before :)

Could you describe how your actual experience looks like?
Who/what is observing it?

Using little bit more words might be useful for you and I may get more accurate impression about where you are at.

Warm greetings!

Re: Need guidance

I must confess that I still do tend to evaluate and intellectualize through force of habit, Are you doing it, or habit plays itself? however, there are moments of letting go and being. I shall relax more as you say and let things be. This is also not kind of doership, but more recognition of natura...

Re: No self inside?!

Still trying to see that there is no me. What if this is just one of the thoughts? I feel that I am still very identified with thoughts And this as well? Whenever thoughts with „I“ arise insert gentle question who/what that „I“ is? Not to find the intellectual answer but to open space for this reco...

Re: Looking for a guide

Good. You can explore also here and there in that sense. And this Buddhist text might be also useful contemplation: "In the seen, there is only the seen, in the heard, there is only the heard, in the sensed, there is only the sensed, in the cognized, there is only the cognized. Thus you should see t...

Re: Need guidance

Hi, Well, if I understand you correctly. What is happening at this very moment of writing this? Yes, when you are reading this now, it is only this. When you are writing reply it is only that. Right? :) It is a happening and seems like I am the questioner and answerer. Is that correct? Don't think i...

Re: Looking for a guide

Hi Hale,
other guides don't seem very convinced that „seeing“ happened yet :)

What would you say now, has the seeing happened?

Could you describe how your actual experience looks like?
Who/what is observing it?
