Re: Making the leap

Sounds great. Reaction = thought story about what has happened to a self ? So there is no one watching, life is just happening ? There are thoughts thinking they are watching. And yes, without and within the borders of thought, life simply happens in all its varied experiences. There still doesn't ...

Re: Making the leap

Can a thought have a thought ? Can the concept of I have an experience ? Can the concept of I separate concepts ? A thought can think it has a thought, because it is thought and it creates itself again within itself. Because it is thought it confirms its existence by "thinking" - "doing" thought. I...

Re: Making the leap

In any experience, can you find a choice or a decision ? Wait and watch for one to happen Either it is so bloody hard to find it that there isn't any point in talking about it, OR it doesn't exist :) When I move my hand or walk, I can't sense anything initiating the movement. There are thoughts abo...

Re: Making the leap

The self only exists in thought, not in experience. It can't be "out-thought". It can be as deep as can be imagined by thought. Now that really started something moving! I saw how I was just using other dimensions to describe the Self but still describing it. And also that the essence of what I (th...

Re: Making the leap

Hey Richard, Been pondering and experiencing. I've been having a hard time putting anything into words... As soon I start writing something down I realize I am not expressing what I am experiencing but the thoughts about what I am experiencing. And not just the factual thoughts of "there is typing o...

Re: Making the leap

My mind constantly wants to go into the mode of 'I know this, I don't have to look into it anymore' - the only thing about that is that I have to notice the mind doing that. If I don't, then off to thought loop world it is! In that sense we're on the same boat, Rich. I, too, am thoroughly enjoying d...

Re: Making the leap

Is there anyone to awaken ? Well, I could argue that the Physical Mind awakens to itself as the All, yet in the bigger picture, there is no awakening to take place because there is no "sleep". I am existence. What is making choices ? My first thought was 'the Higher Mind'. Then I saw how there real...

Re: Making the leap

I had another awakening experience today... very.. awakening-y :) Now I KNOW that I have seen, I no longer only think it. When you say: "I feel that "my" physical body is a projection of "me" in this physical reality, where there are thoughts of shape and form, yet I cannot feel that I am not anythi...

Re: Making the leap

6) How would you describe it to somebody who has never heard about this illusion but is curious about it? This was by far the hardest question, since I did not just want to regurgitate metaphors I'd read from others and I was not satisfied with my first ideas at all. In the end I came up with this:...

Re: Making the leap

8) Now that you see that 'you', the first person character at the core of life, isn't, what do you see when you see 'others'? Explain in your own words from your direct experience. I cannot help but see 'me'. The eternity that IS, which I also am, is also them. There simply cannot be anything else....

Re: Making the leap

1) Is there a 'me' or 'you' or 'I' , at all, anywhere, in any way, shape or form? Was there ever? Can there ever be? 4) Explain in detail what the illusion of separate self is, when it starts and how it works. Having to use words, the closest thing to describe the sensation of existence is 'eternit...

Re: Making the leap

I very much appreciate your help, Richard. No disappointment in your guidance. If anything, in myself, but I see that being disappointed in anything is pointless, so that takes care of that. Thanks to your pointing questions I've been achieving the state of seeing much more often now. I am grateful....

Re: Making the leap

I would really like to look into why I still keep on attaching myself to suffering. Why do I still cling onto the idea of having been abandoned by my mother. I am not an orphan. It just feels so strongly that I have been abandoned, and on another level I sense the same feeling of forlorn betrayal in...

Re: Making the leap

Good looking again, Where is the sensing happening ? Is it locate-able ?[/qoute] No... I can definitely sense my "physical body" more, but I can't say I don't sense anything else, well, because I am sensing it to describe it. I can't sense non-sensing. Everything IS sensing. And also the mind/body ...
